Create a Temporary Wi-Fi Network to Use the Remote Camera

The remote camera for Stop Motion Studio requires a Wi-Fi connection. If no Wi-Fi is available or if the connection is limited, you can use your mobile device’s hotspot feature to create a temporary Wi-Fi network.

Setting Up a Mobile Hotspot on Android

  1. Open Settings
    • Navigate to the Settings app on your Android device.
  2. Go to ‘Network & Internet’
    • Find and tap on Network & Internet or a similar section.
  3. Select ‘Hotspot & Tethering’
    • Choose Hotspot & Tethering or a similar option.
  4. Activate the Hotspot
    • Toggle the switch to turn on Mobile Hotspot.
  5. Configure Hotspot Settings
    • Set a network name (SSID) and password for your hotspot. Customize these settings as needed.
  6. Connect Other Devices
    • On the device you want to connect, open Wi-Fi settings, find your hotspot network, and enter the password if prompted.

Setting Up a Mobile Hotspot on iOS (iPhone)

  1. Open Settings
    • Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Go to ‘Personal Hotspot’
    • Find and tap on Personal Hotspot.
  3. Activate the Hotspot
    • Toggle the switch to turn on Personal Hotspot.
  4. Configure Hotspot Settings
    • You may be prompted to set a Wi-Fi password. Customize the password and note it down.
  5. Connect Other Devices
    • On the device you want to connect, go to Wi-Fi settings, find your iPhone’s hotspot network, and enter the password if prompted.
