Not All Frames Are Shown in the Preview. Why Not?

In the default setting, the app uses preview images for playback to keep audio and video in sync, especially on devices with slower hardware or when using movie filters. Here’s why some frames might not appear in the preview:

Reasons for Dropped Frames:

  1. Device Speed: On slower devices, frames may be dropped to maintain sync between audio and video.
  2. Movie Filters: Applying movie effects can increase processing demands, leading to frame drops in preview mode.

How to Reduce Frame Drops:

  • Adjust Preview Quality: Changing to a lower preview quality setting can help reduce the frequency of frame drops.

    Steps to Change Preview Quality:
    1. Open the settings within the Stop Motion Studio app.
    2. Navigate to Preview Quality.
    3. Select a lower quality setting.

Important Note:

  • Export Quality: When exporting the video, the app will use high-quality images only, regardless of the preview settings. Your final video will not have the dropped frames seen in the preview.

Rest assured that these frame drops are only in the preview to ensure smooth playback and audio synchronization.
