USB Webcam on Chromebook Not Working

If your USB webcam is not being recognized by Stop Motion Studio on your Chromebook, follow these troubleshooting steps:

1. Configure Camera Settings

  1. Open Settings
    • Click on the settings icon in the upper right corner of your Google Chrome browser.
  2. Access Privacy Settings
    • Go to Privacy and security.
  3. Open Site Settings
    • Select Site settings.
  4. Adjust Camera Settings
    • Find and click on Camera.
    • Ensure that the External camera is selected. If the camera is not listed, you may need to try a different USB port.

2. Restart Stop Motion Studio

  • Exit the Camera App
    • Close any other camera applications that might be using the webcam.
  • Restart Stop Motion Studio
    • Relaunch Stop Motion Studio to see if it now recognizes the camera.
